What's a Tech Business Coach?

You’ve probably heard a lot about business coaching, but here’s the thing – not all business coaches do the same thing.

I’ve been a business coach since 2019, and I’ve seen that the term can mean different things to different people.

Some coaches are more like mentors or trainers. They'll give you advice, tell you what to do, or sell you on a particular idea. That’s great if you need a specific solution or a clear path to follow. But as a business coach, my approach is different. I’m not here to tell you what to do. I’m here to help you figure it out yourself.

Think of it this way: sometimes you need a map, and sometimes you need to explore. A mentor or a trainer might give you a map – a set of instructions or a process to follow. But what if you’re not even sure where you’re stuck or what the problem is? That’s where I come in. I’m more like a guide on an adventure, helping you to explore and find your own way.

If you know exactly what you need, go find someone to give you that. But if you’re feeling like something’s off, if things used to be easier, if you’re facing fears or looking to shape a long-term vision, you might need a different kind of help. That’s where business coaching, my kind of coaching, comes in. I like to think of myself as an archaeologist – digging deep, and exploring, but always with a focus on practical results.

Some coaches might talk a lot, giving lectures or preaching. In contrast, I believe in listening, observing, and asking those thought-provoking questions that lead to real insights and actions.

In addition to the broader aspects of business coaching, one of my key strengths lies in guiding clients from the initial spark of an idea to the final, polished product. With years of experience in software development and creating content for SaaS, MVPs, and software projects, I've developed a keen eye for what works and what doesn’t.

I’ve seen many entrepreneurs and founders make mistakes that could have been avoided. Whether it’s misjudging market needs, underestimating the importance of user experience, or failing to iterate based on feedback, these pitfalls can significantly set back a project. My role is to help you navigate these common errors.

Through a combination of strategic questioning and drawing on my own experiences, I can help you refine your ideas and goals, validate them, and develop a clear roadmap to bring them to life. This process isn't just about avoiding mistakes; it's about optimizing every step of your journey for success. From conceptualizing your idea to developing a minimum viable product (MVP), I'll be there to provide insight and guidance.

If you're working on a software or tech project, my background in this field can be particularly beneficial. I understand the technical challenges, the importance of user-centric design, and the business strategies that can make or break a tech venture. With my guidance, you can expect a more streamlined path to a successful product, one that resonates with users and stands out in the market.

So, if you’re looking for a coach who can not only offer general business guidance but also specialized advice in developing tech products, you’re in the right place. Let’s turn your idea into reality, avoiding the common traps and capitalizing on proven strategies for success.

It’s important to note that coaching is different from therapy. While therapy often looks at healing the past, coaching is about focusing on the present and the future. We can learn from the past, sure, but we shouldn’t get stuck there.
